Marijuana Policy

Thank you for pardoning prior simple possession of marijuana for federal offences. I am not
personally impacted by this decision but as you said it removes barriers to housing, schools and
employment for many people. I am glad that you are working on reclassifying marijuana as a
schedule three drug from schedule one as it makes no sense for it to be classified higher than
fentanyl. I hope you continue to push pardons for others with prior simple possession charges
everywhere as it is a barrier to employment, education and housing for many. While I do not
know all of the facts about marijuana, if it is thoroughly researched and done through the proper
processes, I fully support medical marijuana being prescribed from physicians. Today I read in
the Washington Post that research is showing that marijuana is less dangerous than once
thought, which supports the reclassification and potentially looking at medical marijuana at the
federal level.
